UGH! My step-mom wrote this bio about me in the third person and I don’t have time to change it:

  • Alice Gillette (she/her), is a comedian, clown, and writer from Western Maryland based in Denver, Colorado.

    Since 2022, Alice has been building up the alt-clown scene in Denver with Idiot Theatre, where she performs as Meat Show the Clown — a High Value Man that’s too weak to open his mail and too strong to open up his feelings.

    Using an inventive take on contemporary clown, Alice explores the intersecting layers between fatalism, patriarchy and upward mobility through the lens of her clown Meat Show, in a performance described as “fun and bizarre” by Westword.

    Alice's career as a performer began in 2018 at Kickstand Comedy Space in Portland, Or. At Kickstand, Alice was a castmember of Soup’s Up, Kickstand Comedy’s in-house development improv team, coached by Michael Zimmer. Alice also served as art editor and illustrator for Kickstand’s comedy zine, Kicked Out. Alice studied improv comedy under Dylan Reiff and Kara Moore.
