Meat Show in Space: workshopped live in front of a human audience

  • Hope Tank - Denver, Co 1434 East 22nd Avenue Denver, CO, 80205 United States (map)

On May 1st at The Hope Tank, Alice Gillette will present a shortened, work-in-progress version of her subversive alt-comedy Meat Show in Space at a workshop hosted by the Denver Fringe Festival.

This performance offers a unique chance to see live, unfiltered clowning in a creative workshop setting. Instead of traditional rehearsals, Alice and two other performance artist engage directly with the audience, using your feedback to shape their work.

You’ll experience a work-in-progress version of Meat Show in Space that’s raw, spontaneous, and unpredictable. After the show, a panel from Denver Fringe will share 10–15 minutes of feedback with Alice about the piece. Audience members are also invited to contribute their insights.

This format lets the clowns inhabit an emotionally charged space where imperfections are celebrated and creativity flows freely. It’s all about how the performance makes you feel rather than achieving perfection. Join us for an evening of creative exploration that captures the vibrant, collaborative spirit of Denver Fringe.

Space is limited. To attend, contact Ben at the Denver Fringe Festival via email.
